Most people inherit standards without question.
A diet their parents swore by.
A definition of “success” built on other people’s approval.
A belief that balance equals mediocrity disguised as virtue.
These standards don’t liberate. They suffocate.
They drain energy into things that don’t compound. They keep people busy instead of free. They masquerade as discipline but collapse under pressure.

Inherited standards often feel safe because they come pre-approved by society.
“Work hard, then retire.”

But safety is rarely leverage. Safety is usually sedation.
